  1. The influence is Maiden that's clear !but you can hear the "future" QUEENSRYCHE
It's not my favorite but there are some very good tracks as "NM 156" , "Take Hold The Flame"....

    Thanks very much

  2. Definitely a solid album, and not bad for their first...Signs of what's ahead...and Geoff showing off his voice as if it's a deadly weapon.

Glad to know there's another Queensryche fan in the crowd :D

  3. Oh, my bad, I thought this was the S/T album Queensryche. This is "The Warning", Oh well, I feel the same about this as well...Great Album, Great Riffs, Great Originality, Great IMAGINATION! No one really sounds like them, accept like you said, IRON MAIDEN (I agree to some degree ;) )

I can tell you this! Geoff has the "TYPE" voice that seems to dramatize a mystic almost medieval sound which has branded Queensryche from the beginning. But none of it really works without the guitar work from Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton (and in that order).
