Just realized that this album has been mastered with pre-emphasis. If you burn this to CD, you need to use EAC for it, because the cue-sheet does contain the PRE-FLAG.
If you listen to the files on the PC, you need to de-emphasize them. For foobar 0.9 please download these two files http://rapidshare.com/files/244076691/foo_convolve.dll and http://rapidshare.com/files/244076825/ImpulsEmph.wav into the components folder of your foobar installation.
Open foobar, go to "Preferences", select "DSP Manager", move Covolver into "Active DSP", click on "Configure Selected", and load the ImpulsEmph as "Impulse File". Save and you are ready to go. Note: You need to de-activate the Convolver once you want to listen files without pre-emphasis

Just thought I'd suggest the possibility of using Pando for one file download. By wrapping the original file in WinRar (abbreviated CD name i.e. "NSG_BS.rar" with a password. PW is usually the entire folder name/header used in post i.e. Nicolas Simion Group - Black Sea (1942) [FLAC]" I just copy and paste the original file name for the PW in WinRar.
ReplyDeleteOther than that little suggestion, I don't know much about this other than it must be something pretty terrific in the Jazz Department. So I am just as eager to listen to the hanswurst 1st Upload share. Thank You Much!
Rob
Downloaded the first rar, no prob, second one, I got this >

You have reached the download limit for free-users. Would you like more?
Then I back Tracked and forward again is same open browser (firefox), and it worked! However! It didn't work for me on the 3rd .rar ...Sorry! I tried :D
Don't tell me, I have to wait an hour? A day? Sorry hanswurst...I'm one of those American Idiots.....LOL (as in GREENday (could have two meanings ;) )
If you are a free user, you only have to wait, if you have a static IP. If you have dynamic IP, just disconnect/reconnect after a part is finished and then start the next. Eliminates waiting time.
ReplyDeleteI know Rapidshare is not free, however is turned out to be more reliable than Pando, and that's why I signed up with it.
